And I am the other way around from Craig. I'd like to come, and Atlanta is way closer - I could even drive there - but not sure if I will be able to come or not. I do have spousal support for going, though. [MBZ] RustyQ 2007
We are thinking about having RustyQ 2007 in Jefferson, Iowa. Maybe September 15th or 22nd. This is to see if anyone is interested in changing venues. Please let me know if you are a faithful attendee and would not be able to attend in Iowa, but would attend in Atlanta. Also let me know if you would attend in Iowa, but couldn't make the Atlanta trip. The Q would be great in either location. Those that have never heard of it or never attended, it is a real classic event. There is plenty of free grub beer soda. Meet lots of strange people driving these old beater Mercedes and even small dogs that look like toys. Last year we had a Texas Hold'em exhibition given by none other than Jabba the Hurst, World Champion extraordinaire. There is really no Mercedes event quite like this one. So if you want to meet some cool folks and eat and drink for free, let me know. Call 1-800-741-5252 or email [EMAIL PROTECTED] if interested. Thanks. Rusty Cullens BuyMBparts, Inc. Peter T. Arnold wrote: That's when you should call Rusty fast. He can o'nite it to you. Your dealer can try to get the part and over charge you. I don't buy high dollar items from the dealer. I buy stuff from the dealer (the one in Huntsville actually charges list... not over like some of the crazy ones do) when its cheaper than $30 and thats all I need for a little while. The shipping charges aren't worth it then. I still think I only ever did that two or three times... I live in Starkville now... nearest dealership is 1.5 hours away. Exactly. Consider it the ultimate two-fer (IowaQ and RustyQ). What better place/time to celebrate Benz-ism than in the middle of a harvest of potential tanks of ethanol and soy-diesel. Re: [MBZ] RustyQ 2007
I will second what John said. I've bought from the dealership in Des Moines twice, in both cases to buy really small/cheap stuff that I needed. I had to be in Des Moines anyway, but even if I'd had to drive the 90 minute round trip, the fuel was cheaper than paying Rusty's shipping on a $5 item. Besides, it is FUN to make a few slow laps around the dealership going CLATTA-CLATTA and seeing the sales floor empty into the parking lot to watch an old 240D (highly polished for the occasion) drift proudly buy.
