And if you buy them from someone like Rusty, they have a lifetime
guarantee.

that failed after 14 months, I have to try Bilstein.

KYBs and "McShocsks" are about equivalent to not changing the bad
Bilsteins except they ride harder.

Some require that you install the rubber snubbers on the upper shaft
of the shock. What brand are you using?
What brand of shocks were you using? I've heard that nothing but Bilsteins
should be used because they make a Mercedes ride and handle like it should.
I installed McParts store (monroe?) shocks on my first 300D, and they seemed
OK to me until I rode in my next 300D which had KYB's installed on

First find out. If they weren't Bilsteins you wasted your money,
IMHO. (Monroes, etc.) The SDL is a fairly heavy car.
