I was talking with a former co-worker, one that I seduced over to the dark side (560 SL, and 300 SD), and he's really enjoying the car. He paid high dollar for it at the local dealership, but it was low miles and looked immaculate. (Except for one hardtop peck back by the trunk.) Said he's had it up to 145MPH indicated and it was still pulling. I've done that in the Camaro but never in one of the SL's. The Camaro was out of steam at 143 indicated. Many times.
