I missed that it was 4kW, looking at it though it's obviously small. It'd be good for a battery charger as solar backup. 4kW is woefully undersized for most folks. I think 10-12kW is more what is thought of as 'whole house'. Smaller than the usual rope-pull genny. You could make it work, but you'd probably better be thinking 'tiny house', or maybe Green Acres. The usual electric hot water heater (tank) is 4+kW all by itself. Leaving _zero_ for lights, etc. Likely it is 2 2kW single-phase windings, which means that depending on how your house is wired, you might only get half of the 4kW, effectively.
