I may go look at it on Sunday. For $1000 if it’s decent I might do it for a
project.
I do find it a little curious that all this work has been done to it yet it has
no vacuum based on the description. I’m thinking the vacuum pump has bit it.
Just one more thing to use as leverage.

If the e55 is the supercharged one then you will like the drive around

To interpolate, the lowest mileage good condition, running, safe to

-Good cosmetics - no body work needed
-Must be driveable
-Color irrelevant
-Driving distance from Tampa, preferably via cheap OW air ticket.
Got it.

Easy:
I'm looking primarily for a W140 chassis, ideally an S500 or S420 from model
years 1997-1999. Color is not important. Mileage is not a deal breaker either,
primarily based on condition and maintenance records. The two W140s I currently
own both have over 270,000 miles each, but both have

OK, game on. I need the model, year and color scheme as well as any other

The later S class models are all over the place here and cheap as wine - no
doubt for a reason. I looked into these in the past and saw far too many things
that frightened me, so I avoid them like the plague.

Ugh. Seats are trashed and the headlight wipers are askew. Call it minor, but
when I see headlight wipers that aren't parked or adjusted properly, all sorts
of alarm bells go off. That's a tell for a car that wasn't cared for.

I looked at the w210 as a replacement for the e300d and found them to be half
the car a w124 is. IF it were in superb shape, they came out feeling the same
caliber as a very nice w220. Same compromises in quality and build. For me, I

The w220 is not an upgrade to a very nice condition w140.
The fit and finish is on a par with a late model korean car. The value for a
very low mile w220 is much under $19k. The w222 is a bit closer to the $20k
mark. I can pick up the 2000-2005 S series hovering around $10k or less all
