Another option is seam sealer in a can. Apply with a brush and then texture
with the end of the bristles by dabbing. This can simulate the thick sprayed on
look.

So I did a bunch of welding on the Jetta, its cleaning up nicely but will need
a helluva lot more. I may finally finish off the old computer I've been
scavenging metal out of and move on to my recently replaced microwave. It'll be
a hard move, computer metal
