Poulsbo. Lots of square heads up there. Heck, anywhere on the upper peninsula should be less expensive than Braindead. Then again, stay away from the water and the cost does drop a bit. It sure has been colder this summer. Should have quit raining by now, but just keeps coming. Maybe that global warming hoax is changing the weather patterns. Re: [MBZ] Test and possible move to WA
Braindead Island is not inexpensive. Silverdale is no worse than Bremerton, just has a better PR person. All these places need a ferry to get to the big town, unless you want to drive around. The silly boats run on a schedule that does not support too much more than commuting. If you want to make a night of it at the Opera, best to book a room in town, so that you can enjoy the show, have something nice to eat after, then play with your favored wench in the morning before B'fast. Catch the boat home for lunch. Ferry fees just went up again. Since I do not use them, I am not too sure, but think it is close to $10 car and driver each way. The dumb things crash into docks with great regularity, thus reducing your chance of getting home in time. What is wrong with living closer to the mainland? There are just as many places about as far out that cost the same as living in the hillbilly area of the sound. Pack the car and bring the kids. It is a wonderful playground for liberals on the wet side, but the dry side has a more reasonable perspective on reality. The wet side is more moderate in temperature, while the dry side is really cold in winter and hot in summer. Relative humidity on both sides is much less than the midwest or atlantic coasts. There is an abundance of cars in good condition to add to your collection and some make really good parts cars to keep yours on the road. evil Bill, scum and overlord of human subjugation but lack of internal innovation, has ruined the true beauty of the city. We had lots of open space and cheaper housing until he came back to town. Really ruined the place for the normal trolls residing here. Now we are being over run with metro-sekshulls unable to swing a wrench, but really good with pomade and nail care. Still a nice enough place that the natives discourage immigrants. I liked the town, except that as near as I can tell the weather is rotten for at least 10 months of the year.

I'd live in Seattle proper if I could afford it, but you can't really get a decent apartment there on a middle class salary. It does rain a lot, here, as most people will tell you. What seems to be less well known is that the rain is mostly confined to the winter months. Summers here are gorgeous. I used to live in Michigan, so I traded six months a year of snow for six months a year of rain, and I think it was a good deal. ;)

Wait . Seattle rarely gets snow? Because I was under the impression that it did snow there. I don't know if you've heard me complain in the past, but I hate snow. Seattle gets snow maybe twice a year, and it rarely sticks to the ground. However, people panic at the first sight of white stuff in the air and start driving at about 30 mph on the freeway.

Listers, I have not been active on the list for a couple months or so. I've noticed that when I do reply to a post, it goes to a different address now? Kaleb, did you switch things over to okiebenz and away from striplin.net? My last post didn't seem to go through. Somebody Holla. Also, my wife has a job opportunity in the Seattle area. She has visited there a few times, and we both have friends in the area. Do you WA residents recommend it as a nice place to live? The way I see it, it can't be worse than dealing with winters here in MN. Brian 83 240D

I know, you don't want outsiders do you? It's how I feel about the influx of folks to my native AZ. Hey, I think we'll fit in - we and our dogs have plenty of parasites.
