Poulsbo. Lots of square heads up there. Heck, anywhere on the upper
peninsula should be less expensive than Braindead. Then again, stay
away from the water and the cost does drop a bit.

It sure has been colder this summer. Should have quit raining by now,
but just keeps coming. Maybe that global warming hoax is changing the

Propbably increase the prices of Benz though. Seen them almost double

Braindead Island is not inexpensive. Silverdale is no worse than
Bremerton, just has a better PR person. All these places need a ferry
to get to the big town, unless you want to drive around. The silly
boats run on a schedule that does not support too much more than
commuting. If you want to make a night of it at the Opera, best to
book a room in town, so that you can enjoy the show, have something
nice to eat after, then play with your favored wench in the morning
before B'fast. Catch the boat home for lunch.

Ferry fees just went up again. Since I do not use them, I am not too
sure, but think it is close to $10 car and driver each way. The dumb
things crash into docks with great regularity, thus reducing your
chance of getting home in time.

What is wrong with living closer to the mainland? There are just as
many places about as far out that cost the same as living in the
hillbilly area of the sound.

the ferry. He since moved, but even with diesel at these prices, it probably

Mountain passes. If you want to go to the east side of the state in the
winter, you have to cross the mountains. Snow tires (or chains) are
desirable, then, and sometimes even legally required.

Pack the car and bring the kids. It is a wonderful playground for
liberals on the wet side, but the dry side has a more reasonable
perspective on reality. The wet side is more moderate in temperature,
while the dry side is really cold in winter and hot in summer.
Relative humidity on both sides is much less than the midwest or
atlantic coasts.

There is an abundance of cars in good condition to add to your
collection and some make really good parts cars to keep yours on the

evil Bill, scum and overlord of human subjugation but lack of internal

true natives (families were here three hundred years ago) have cast a
curse on the state so that there will be a huge influx of chebby
driving people from south of the border who will repopulate the state
in a skin tone compatible with the Salish speakers.

They must not have visited in the summer, either, when it's 90 degrees
and very humid. I lived there briefly. I liked the town, except that
as near as I can tell the weather is rotten for at least 10 months of
the year.

I moved out here about a year ago and I'm loving it. I don't live in
Seattle, though; I live in one of the outer suburbs. I'd live in
Seattle proper if I could afford it, but you can't really get a decent
apartment there on a middle class salary.

It does rain a lot, here, as most people will tell you. What seems to
be less well known is that the rain is mostly confined to the winter
months. Summers here are gorgeous. I used to live in Michigan, so I
traded six months a year of snow for six months a year of rain, and I
think it was a good deal. ;)

Seattle gets snow maybe twice a year, and it rarely sticks to the
