Its less than $50 and doesn't take long. Worst part is getting the old rotted
bushings out.

the center link. If the idler is bad, you can see the arm (from the
right side) moving up and down while someone else moves the steering
wheel a couple of inches back and forth.
Or as said before, you can shake the RF
I would, it's not expensive, it's easy most times (exhaust has to
come off the manifold on a 300E) and the improvement is wonderful.
