I'm way more interested in the Volvo 1900 S Station Wagon setting to the
left side of the Merc...

I found a new scrap yard the other day. They have some very geriatric cars
that do not swap out for seasons on end. Seems the bulk of their business is
just scrap metal. There were two w115 that were not too fresh. A cabin fire
toasted w124, a bunch of other standard hulks and then a 1973 45
Oh, that
It would have wanted to be the 5.0 450SL.
this looks like a euro model, so being a 500SL, it is not worth much, but the
motor might be of interest to somebody of it could be made to run.

That is a 450SLC 5.0... or at least, its a 107.026. Around 1980 they
changed the name from a 450SLC 5.0 to 500SLC. It doesn't make sense that
this car is a 1979, since it has the battery under the hood that started
later. The VIN will tell everything.
They're very rare, and very undervalued. T
yeah rare to see em this neglected.
offer scrap value and no more.
Body damage and rust and the turd wants 2.5, tell him he is dreaming!!

So, it's rare (so rare I've never heard of it before) but not as special
as a 450/5.0?

I'm guessing it's a Euro impart with DOT headlights. Giveaways are the
manual A/C heat controls accompanied by the battery under the hood. In '79,
the US models had the ACC II (Chrysler servo) with the battery in the
trunk.
The 500SLC that you are thinking of had the first version of the aluminum
There were 500's in that era, a buddy had a 500SL back then. Great googly
moogly that thing could eat gas.
