Verify the temp reading with another thermometer -- it could be the gauge. On Sat, Jul 11, 2020 at 2:10 PM Kaleb Striplin via Mercedes < mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: > I just took it out on the highway up to 70mph for a couple of miles. Temp > stays right at the same spot. I wonder if it’s due

I would replace the thermostat, they often don't work well after being overheated. Check the operation of the electric fan if so equipped as well. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change

I did not replace the thermostat now, but did not too long ago and it had the effect of the car always running too cool later ran the correct temp. I do have another new one on hand. Since I’m draining it again anyway I’m half tempted to just go ahead and replace it again. Sent from my iPhone

I just took it out on the highway up to 70mph for a couple of miles. Temp stays right at the same spot. I wonder if it’s due to straight water? Or maybe I just just put a new radiator in it since I don’t know the history of the one I did put in it. Sent from my iPhone > On Jul 11, 2020, at

I'd not be too upset by that temp idling with the AC on at 95F. You should be getting the high speed electric fan cycling at that temp though. Get proper coolant in it soon though -- water will be boiling in the head if the pressure isn't high enough. ___

After finally getting all the air out of the system after swapping out the radiator it still seemed to get hot to me. Today I swapped out the fan clutch with a new acp (?) one from FCP. Box says Borg Warner. Anyway it seems to be engaging fine. Let car run for about 20 minutes then let it set
