Its cold air. When it was 106 degrees the other day and it was just idling in the sun, it would cool to 70 degrees (checked it with thermostat). While driving, it will cool much lower. Last year, I did buy the lazy man's gauge and a can of 134. The low side pressure was 35 or so. I added less than a half a can. Cooled very well. This year, I checked it with the same gauge when it was over 100 degrees and pressure was 45. But, then someone on the list pointed out, you are supposed to rev the engine and hold it at 2000 rpm. When I did that, the pressure dropped to 38-40. So, I have not added anything and the a/c is cold. Donald H.
