Well
On another note, I noticed something interesting when removing the front and
rear bumpers from the 75 240D. The ugly 'tack on' bumpers I have the 2
typical struts with 4 bolts in a square pattern. I bought a set of early
W115 bumpers, in hopes to replace the ones on the car to give it a more

Not only to the frame horns differ significantly, the fender and
radiator supports are different.

No, US basher bumpers only.
Wait till the rubber panel between the bumper and fender falls
apart. They REALLY look goofy then.

IIRC, the Frankenheap (gray-market 115) has two bolts
on each side that hook to a splayed 'T' that comes through
the front of the car.
