I've had the fluid level sensors go wacky. I unplugged em and the
"problem" went away.

I vote for the sensor wires. This has happened to me as well.

Either your pads are worn or one of the sensor wires is shorting out against
something on occasion.

Recently, when starting the car, the dashboard brake warning light will
blink on and off for about 10 seconds. What does this mean? Pads are not
worn, fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir is normal.
