The PDF on the StarTek site for the 240D shows the flasher as a part of the hazard switch. The PDF Fred sent shows the flasher as a separate component with wires to the hazard switch, which is what my car has. Perhaps the StarTek site shows the wiring for an early 240D, while mine is a relatively late one. Craig: Go to this site: http://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/outside/12265/disc_2/program/matrix6.htm Then follow the menus to your exact year/model and go to the ETM (electronic troubleshooting manual). [MBZ] W123 Flasher System Electrical Schematic
My shop manuals are buried I know not where in the midst of our household goods as we prepare to move to Indiana, so I'm asking here: Does someone have a copy of the electrical schematic that shows the emergency/turn signal flasher and how it hooks up to the car's wiring? I'm beginning to think my flasher has a bad capacitor, but I'll need to have something working to go get a replacement capacitor.
