I agree with Rob. Having a 300TD and a 2000 Golf TDI, the TDI is certainly not of inferior quality. It's our everyday driver and a lot more comfortable than the 300TD, but mainly becuase the wagon needs new weatherstripping and the steering is sloppy. The suspension in the wagon is definitely

Interestingly I'm going through this math as well. My 240D is getting a bit long in the tooth, I think its due for injectors soon plus a slew of other little issues, and then theres this 190D for sale near me. Then I find out within the next 6 weeks my job is relocating and increasing my 80
