Re: [MBZ] Wiper parking

[wiper] does not park or intermittent not working. What controls that?

On our 107 those functions are controlled by the wiper relay.
I know, 'cause some PO had kicked ours (on the floor above
the gas pedal) and broken it off. The wipers would not stop
in their park position, nor would the intermittent function
work. I glued the PCB back together, and soldered bridges
over the broken traces.

It's been working fine ever since.

[MBZ] Wiper parking

2014-09-16 Thread Kaleb C. Striplin via Mercedes
The wiper on the kids 93 300 was getting stuck and blew fuse. Pulled it out
lubed it and it made no difference. Mathis wiper was a little different than
others I have seen almost like it was aftermarket or something. It also was not
parking when switch turned off and I don't think intermittent was working
either. Put one in I had laying around and it did not work at all, motor dead I
guess. Pulled one from a car and put it on and it works fine but still does not
part or intermittent not working. What controls that?

I presume you mean, park. That, I would think, should be controlled by
the wiper motor assembly.

or intermittent not working. What controls that?

Likewise, I think the intermittent is controlled by something other than
the wiper motor assembly.
