I bought my sailboat from my father, who had it in Wisconsin. No registration / title / anything. SC wanted a bill of sale in this case, and even provided a form, so we filled that in, I laid out some small amount of $$, and SC was happy. - Max Charleston SC

A few times in the past it has been mentioned that some states do not exchange a title for old car sales. (As I recall, mostly southeastern states) Can y'all tell me if your state or a state you lived in previously is one of these? Thanks! My understanding is that if you were to buy a 123
