Well, my current Mac Mini is a Core Duo, so it's pretty up to date. I still have an old Mac II fx, which I got simply because it was cheap (surplus from my neighbor's work) and cost $10,000 new. Works fine so far as I know, we used it to do the newsletter for the homebrew club for years until the monitor blew. Pretty spiff for 1990: 40 MHz Motorola 68000 something chip, 24 MB Ram (in the days when a PC could only use a couple MB without drastic expense or gyrations), super VGA monitor. Probably still works, but I don't have room to run it just for fun, it sits on the shelf in the basement next to my HyType II printer that quit in 1990.
