I suspect it’s much like the European river cruises in a way, mainly de to it being a much smaller boat/ship. If you’re into history or sightseeing they can be pretty nice, as the experience isn’t the ship but the points of call. Probably only three meal sittings a day and no 24/7 food or drinks. I’m not sure how big the boats are for these, so that would have some bearing on the experience I presume. We’ve looked into the European river cruises, and have become pretty well schooled on them. The big emphasis on them is again, not the ship, as it’s pretty basic as far as services/food/entertainment.
