Egg-crate sleeping bag mat is the way to go. I also used a thin closed-cell foam pad under the two layers of egg-crate on the rear seat of my brother's 75 300D. Get them at Target or K-Mart, the ones at Wally World are too cheesy. Cut to fit just larger than the springs with the points up,

I finally hauled the driver's seat out of my 76 300D last night and partially dismantled it. The spring base seems intact but has quite a bit of surface rust on it. I assume it had no paint of any sort from the factory and this is just the result of 30 year's exposure to humidity etc. Horsehair

Go to Meijer or Wal-Mart and buy a twin bed-size egg-crate mattress pad. The size happens to be -exactly- the right size for restuffing a 115 seat. One pad should be enough to restuff both passenger seats and the bench seat in the back (but you'll be out of foam before you redo the rear seat

Speaking of seats, how much should I expect to pay for a good palomino rear seatback? The top of mine has erupted along the top perpendicular to all the stiching. There's one now at the U-Pull, or was when I was there two days ago, I think it's $20. For that you get the bench and the back.

I checked with World Upholstery and they want $235 for a horsehair pad to put into the front seat bottom on my 115. I know I saw on here somewhere about repadding the seats with foam etc. Who has done this and how well did it work out? Am I better off to have a local upholstery shop make me
