test came to 12.36v and 572 cca. I am not sure why nothing at all lit up when I installed it. Pumping enough electrons from the jump and letting the alternator spin for a bit gave it power enough to spin up for a restart after the load test. Many hours more on the 2amp charge filled it right

There are three different types of Optima’s: Red Blue and Yellow. Each is for a slightly different application. Red is the best for our diesels. One of theaters is best for a sailboat house battery and the other would be for a marine starter application. I got mine on sale at Napa in 2013.

It really amazing what kind of mayhem a weak battery can do. It’ll look normal on a load test, but when it comes to glow plugs and diesel starting, it won’t carry water. Same thing happened to me in 2013. I bought an Optima red top and have never looked back. The only time it as not started
