I've never done a drag link, but the steering damper is very simple. It
just bolts on at each end. I did it with the car up on ramps and it
took me less than five minutes. The bolts were easy to get out

Steering dampener reduces play; replacement of a worn dampener results in
noticeably less "active" or "twitchy" steering. Well worth the $50 bucks and
VERY easy to replace (I know because I did it twice under minimal
supervision).
