I am not sure about the 124 with a gasser, but most cars you can't get the oil pan off with the engine in the car. Most Diesels have a smaller oil sump pan that is removable to allow access to the oil pump. I always use a silicone for-a-gasket, with or without the paper gasket. You might

I don't know what the sedans have, but the rears on the TD had some size that was close enough to 4 that some of those fit the mounting brackets, with a bit of minor adjustment. Just take one out, see what size it is. If you can get the mounting bracket off (if there is one) then take that
