That's a bit much for cruising down the road with it plugged into the lighter
socket, but it might be OK on low. Looks like you'd be limited to one per car.
The lighter socket (IIRC) is limited to 150w. Directly wired to the battery
would do 400w. With a motorcycle battery mine would run my 1/2hp sump pump up
to 5 feet high which sadly isn't enough to get water out of my basement. I
never retried with a bigger battery.

My experience as well. How much will you have to pay for any MB with 68k
miles accumulated at the standard rate of 12k/yr. (a 2008 model)? It looks
