did a bit of work this morning. About 3 hours to put an electric
fan from an 87 TD into my 83. May not look exactly factory but it
does push a bit more air when in traffic. That's good down here
in FL. Should have done it long ago but just came across the fan
in the local LKQ.

Just got the word from the shop. Low side suction hose is pretty much shot,
and the evaporator is leaking.
Bummer.
Now the decision is to whether or not to try and use some leak sealer stuff and
hope for the best or tear the thing apart and replace the evaporator.
Dang it.
What does the shop say about the leak seal stuff?

Also remember that if the evaporator leak is small, you can probably drive

Yeah, I would tend to agree, so now I need to really assess how much longer I

So you end up with $6400 in a car you could sell for $3000. How much will

The choice between an E and a ML should be based on mission - will you need
to ford streams or deep snow? If not, the E is probably the better choice.

You might want to have a micron gauge like they use in HVAC work.

Dan,
Try the stop leak. If that doesn't work, then cut an access hole in the
dash, replace the evap, then hinge the piece you cut out and the next time you
have a problem you'll have access to the dash. I can't believe any engineer
