I see people say the brake switch going bad can cause this fault, I'm
not sure how that works but it seems to cure the problem with those
lights coming on. Cheap part and takes but a few minutes to change.

Got BAS/ESP/ABS lights on the 99 E320 4Matic. STAR says no signal from the
steering angle sensor. Put a new one on the car and the same issue - no signal
from the steering angle sensor. If I do an ‘actual values” on it I see nothing
when the wheel is turned.

The sensor is a ring that sits behind the steering wheel and in front of the
turn signal switch assembly. It has plugs on the back that plug into sockets
that are located in the column.
I haven’t had a chance to look at the ETM yet to see where it goes, so I don’t
know about the rest. Probably
People are absolutely nuts. People are paying insane prices for 123’s which
millions of them were made. Several years ago I crushed many cars that would
have sold for thousands now days.

Ok so I have this 648 in the 123. It has the pwm controlled variable
displacement compressor. I talked to a guy at Denso. He said the later 90s
early 2000's cars had a similar compressor case but instead of pwm control,
the valve somehow senses the pressure in the circuit and adjusts the
