Used to see a lot of British Leyland ads in the 1970s, but don't
remember this.
It's not quite so horrible when they're still black, but wow, that's a

Only problem I see with ICF is the inability to change things. That is, you
better be darned sure you’ve got all the openings and rough-ins where you want
them, as you’re going to have a tough time changing things down the road.

Wondering if anyone here has experience doing wall tile. I ask because I’m
looking at some tile for a backsplash that’s 12” x 18”. Yes, those are big
pieces, but we really like the pattern as it’s a three dimensional “wavy” sort
pattern.
I’m wondering how (or if) I can cut the openings for elec
I love the retro/gaudy design of the cockpit. Very splashy.

The good news is that you can lay a 2x10 across it and have a nice bench
to sit on. Perhaps the only bumper I've ever seen that would work for
that.

I'm thinking you might be able to do it with one of those vibrating
multi-tools (Fein, or other brand). Haven't tried it. Might need an
assistant with a squeeze bottle of water to keep things cool.

Get a 4” diamond blade for an angle grinder. You can do it wet with a spray
bottle to keep the dust down and the blade cool, or have someone hold a shop
vac at the cut.

Exactly, Diamond blade on angle grinder. Don’t use mastic on large tiles like

We laid down some 18"x18" tiles once - and I had to cut some notches, etc.
I used a cheap tile saw - the mini table saw type with the blade running in
a tray of water. You just cut the sides, then a bunch of parallel cuts in
the middle and knock out the tabs you just created.

Those are really large. I am not sure they could be cut on a standard tile
saw. I had a devil of a time with 12x12 on my saw. If you rented a large
commercial rig, maybe there would be enough space to hold them flat.
Cutting into the ends, as you outlined, it an elegant solution. I am thi

Not too large. I did a whole basement floor with 12x24 slate tile using the
small cheapo tile saw. No problem.
