Yea that’s got me worried. I see mention of people rebuilding them, and I see

This is why I LOVE the 040 color code. This is probably the easiest color/paint
scheme on a Mercedes to recover, that is, get back to as close to the original
finish as possible.
That’s not saying the process is easy, as Floyd points out it’s time consuming
and tiring, especially if you do it
