Hi all, I've adjusted my valves twice, so far. After I button everything down and start adjusting the carbs I eventualy start hearing the valves slapping. Sure enough when I open up the cover on of the nuts is all the way down. there are 2 adjusters that I can turn by hand. Any helpfult tips

So lock-tight is out of the question? ;) There is a minimum torque for those adjusters as I remember, so if you can turn them by hand, certainly they are worn out and need to be replaced. They need to be fairly stiff so they don't do what yours are -- unscrew or screw themselves down.

Any special tool to pry down the valve? I believe those are essentially the same as the ones on the M117 V8 -- remove the retainer spring, pry down on the valve and sideways and the rocker arm should pop off the adjuster. Valve closed, lobe away from the rocker. Hang on to the thrust
