Buy a cheap 27mm box end wrench, and cut a notch big enough for the hose
and make your own flare tool. 1 1/6 wrench will also work.

I have a friend who's battery dies within 15 minutes of unplugging it.
When restarted, it shows 85% life. This battery barely has 200 cycles
on it. Is there a warranty for this time frame?

You need a new thermostat if the temp takes more than 5 minutes to reach

Make sure to use jack stands and not ramps. You will need to turn the
driveshaft, and that's a tiny bit challenging when on ramps :)
Plan to use a BFH (big hammer) to loosen the old flex disk from the
drive shaft, it will be stubborn.

Yes. Mark BOTH halves of the drive shaft with WHITE, or another light
(easily identified) color BEFORE you separate them. The cross member
you speak of holds the tranny and tranny mount, it can stay in place to
do the d/s bearing.

Rebar would help the slab hold most weight above it, even if it does sag
into the sink hole. The news tonight had shots of the house demolition
and there was absolutely NO rebar poking out from the edges of the slab
