[MBZ] Knackers Fun

Today I had some time for a Knackers Run, went to the nearby LKQ to check
out a 124 sedan.  I was really hoping to find a nice rear bumper and a nice
front bumper, but neither was to be had.  Scored a trunk seal in very
decent condition for $3, I think the new list price from an online dealer
is $140 or so. That alone made the day worthwhile.  Picked up a couple of
front floor mats, don't really need them, but they're in nice shape so
maybe future use.  Took an outside temperature display from a '93, and also
a couple interior trim pieces, mirror adjusting switch and all the window
switches.  The '93 sedan has a leather interior, but the front seats have
faded from a light brown color to almost pink, looks ugly, even though they
are in decent shape.  If they were heated seats, I probably want to get
those, but I'm going to pass.

I also picked up a fog light and an outside mirror for Floyd for his 210
car fleet, there were about five of those 210 cars to pick from and
fortunately the silver sedan had the only good passenger mirror.

There was a single 123 car, '83 240D with 3 pedals, pretty much stripped
but the pedals and the transmission were still there.  Someone took the
injection pump and lines, but left the injectors.

Thanks Wilton!  When are you going to bring the family down for a visit to
the beach?  I've been hoping for a trip up to WDC area, but nothing on the
horizon.
