I had two different people tell me that Auto Zone would hook up and tell me
why my Toyota Check engine light was on.

I took care of it myself but it might be worth a phone call to see how long
their string is.

I did some troubleshooting on that thing looking to see if I was getting
any
of the myriad of combinations of LEDs talked about in the shop
manual...and
it's just giving me a solid yellow LED...which means nothing according to
 the shop manual.
I'll look more into the ECU. Acura stealership boy in town want $120 to
hook
'er up to tell me what to fix.

[MBZ] O.T. Any Know of an Acura List?

2006-01-08 Thread Bob Rentfro
My Acura ('87 Legend, 167K) is suddenly running very rough. Gas milage has gone
down to 9mpg, and it's popping/puffing at the tailpipe at idle...but runs
smoothly at speed. I'd like to fine a list like ours but for Acuras. Simple
google searchs come back with nothing useful. Anybody know of a super secret
list for Acuras?

Thanks all of you knowledgable cats.

when you are ready to abandon the 300D, I am your man.

That's what I'm afraid of. I am uncertain about the future of my 300D,
which has been nothing but trouble for the past two months (after five
years of faultless dependability). I think I might be able to live with
 something like this.

Deneal, I'd be up for a co-test drive. I'll give you a ring when I hear
 back from the seller.

There is an ECU (electronic control unit) under the passenger's seat, at
least on the Integra. That is most likely your problem. About $200, I think.
Most mechanics will have a device that they can plug into your car to
troubleshoot and confirm.

I think if you google Acura Legend ECU you will get some info on it.
