As per the good doctor, the preferred juice was M1 synthetic, which would, after some time, clean out the lifter and shut it up. I use 5w40 winter and 15w50 summer. YMMV. Fred. Fred Moir. Lynn MA. 1986 300 SDL. Its coming from right behind the IP. I think its to do with the cruise control but moving the lever doesn't change anything. Anyone had this happen? Any clues?
