Somebody with the right computer magic should be able to tell you whats going
on. I'd guess theres a sensor somewhere thats gone stupid. The nice thing about
modern computer controlled vehicles is you can have that level of electronics
interrogation.

My bet would be the coolant level sensor, but as Curt suggested, getting a
diagnostics read-out would be a good start.
