This is located about 40 miles from my home. I would be willing to
take a look if someone is interested in purchasing this vehicle. I
would also be willing to deliver for 25 cents a mile plus expenses or
50 cents per mile and I cover expenses.

Only bummer is that it's a 79, meaning it's naturally/normally aspirated (no
turbo.)  It will have a hard time getting out of it's own way.

I'm driving 240D currently.
At least with this, I would have an additional cylinder, and 2 fewer doors.

I thought a 88hp 300cd would blow the doors off a 240d.

Maybe I am used to it but I don't really find my 76 300D all that slow. Of
course, I don't have to merge onto the
Dan Ryan Expressway every morning on my way to work either.

Heh. When I lived in Chicago, morning expressway traffic averaged about 15 mph.

Still a nice car, as long as you only have one passenger.

I had an 85 300CD that was a beautiful car, but I had kids back then, and it
was a royal PITA to haul them around in it.

Neither do I - so I find 240D plenty adequate.
And the 2-lane roads I travel in the 'burbs are just fine. If they
want to pass me - make my day. The idiots all try to pass me where
the road has double solid lines like they are all foreigners. Wait,
maybe they are all foreigners?
