Dead fuel pumps aren't uncommon, but dead (or intermittent) fuel pump relays are way too common in 124 and 201 chassis. In my '86 W201, it was the relay, which worked fine for the first five minutes or so. Drove me nuts until I finally went to check the relay and found a piece of wire wrapped
