How many miles do those cars last? I was under the impression that about 200k
miles was the typical life for a V-dub.

My '98 is over 260,000 and going strong. If the tin worm wasn't taking it it'd
go forever.
The preTDI engines were not known for their toughness but the TDIs regularly go
over 400,000 with no special effort. The power of the TDI engines means they're
not always pushes right to the limit like
