I was more fortunate, and raised in a very accepting denomination that took
us to visit synagogues and Catholic churches and such. I do find [again, my
experience] that it is the radical part of any group/faith/ideology that
causes the trouble with an insistence that there is only one right and all
else is a form of evil. I found I had more in common with my moderate
Jewish, Muslim, and even atheist friends than with my radical Christian
'brothers'. 'Nuf of the theology.

That's OK. I'm happy that your fears are not racially based. I won't
get all theological on you but most religions deal with what happens after
you die, being good while your alive and then go out and kill everybody who
disagrees with your way of thinking. ie: The Crusades, Islamic Jihad etc,
etc. This caused major confusion in my formative years. I left all that
behind and live a more Kharma based life.

and by the way, I think its insane to have to be approved to sign up for
a list and be moderated at first. Its stunts the growth of the list and
puts everyone in a state of fear. IF somebody signs up for this list
and gets out of line they will be warned or booted, but never had to
yet. No reason to do it overthere either. They act like their list is
just some sort of holy grail or something. The power play between stu
and easley was a nice touch.
