Re: [MBZ] Mobil 1 sighting
I noticed the walmart here now has the TSUV stuff on the self again, at least for now. Curt Raymond wrote: Gang, My wife and I were down in Connecticut last weekend for a retirement party. The 5000 mile stuff was $5.65 a quart so it wasn't only Mobil 1 priced obscenely. I nearly gagged. I hearby promise to never complain about the price of Mobil 1 when its under $6 a quart... -Curt - Love cheap thrills? Enjoy PC-to-Phone calls to 30+ countries for just 2ยข/min with Yahoo! Mobil 1 was USD$26/L at Carrefour (French Walmart) in Singapore last year. That's actually a bargain compared to the cost of a Mercedes in which to put it, relative to the US. Tom Trying hard not to complain about paying $2.51/gal for #2

Re: [MBZ] Mobil 1 sighting
Same here. Lots of TS on the shelf but it's all the new 5W-30 crap. The 5W-40 (aka Turbo Diesel Truck) is still nowhere to be found. :-( -dm -- Date: Tue, 18 Apr 2006 01:03:12 -0400 From: Mitch Haley [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [MBZ] Mobil 1 sighting Kaleb C. Sunil Hari wrote: If it's $26/L in singapore, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy 4-5 gallons via phone from Rusty or someone in the US, then have it shipped to Singapore? Or better, become Singapore's discount Mobil distributor ... The import duty is probably pretty steep. I bet that's the reason why it's so expensive at retail there. If you shipped enough for an oil change, I'm sure the recipient would be paying a big tax.
