Someday you'll realize that your cars aren't particularly special and start 
listening to sense. Every time somebody gives you a helpful answer that you 
brush off makes everybody want to help you a little bit less.

All turbochargers are basically the same. In fact I don't remember the '85 
having anything particularly special in its turbo. Never the less a cartridge 
for an '85 ought to work in an '85 merely by having the same moving internals 
as an '85 turbocharger...

I believe California and 49 state turbos are DIFFERENT in 85, and no  
interchangeable.  Just went through that on my brother's 85.

The cartridge will have to be specific to the turbocharger, of course,  
but unless there is something very unusual about it, they are all  
about the same cost.


If it's a weird one, though, and rare, they can be expensive.
