We’re appointment only as well, so I don’t think they’re enforcing the 30 day
rule.
Your points are all quite valid - it’s a matter of blending in and not drawing
attention to your car. I’ve done the “use a current plate” thing tons of times
over 30 years and never had an issue. The only time
Florida is 30 days from date of purchase or bringing it into the state.

Wow that's not much time. In Indiana it's 30 days I think, maybe 45?

Rick, did you contact my shipping guy, Mike? I ask because
Oklahoma just started that this year I think - we got a letter telling us
to keep the plate on our car if we sold it, and use it for the next car.

Just an FYI MA does not sell temporary plates and, at least in theory, does
not recognize temporary plates form other states. I'm reasonably sure the
police ignore temp plates on cars unless they have some other reason to nab you.

However, that means having to make a trip to the DMV, which may be difficult
for a number of reasons.
What I usually do is take a plate off one of my existing vehicles and
registration that won’t need to be driven in my

Looks like form 45-A gets you a 45-day plate for $5 and a visit to the DMV.

Floyd probably has a spare non-rusty car he can sell you, some repair may
be required. Fly down, spend few days fixn' one up and drive it home!

Don't know, I'll take a look on the state website and see what they've got.
I've bought several cars from out of state and driven them back with no
