Linkage won't result in too low idle if the idle screw is properly set (but CAN result in too high idle). Took a harder look at it during a smoke break...it is gold. Now, it WAS all the way in and I adjusted it out and it is fine. EXCEPT that my idle is too low. Question: Is too low an idle ALWAYS the idle adjust screw or could it be the throttle linkages? (or both)? What do you adjust the linkages for? You should look at the manual for this job and see the proper lengths to adust the rods to. You adjust them so that the linkage hits the full load stop with the pedal to the floor. Do you have the sevice manula on CD?

I do not have the service manual on CD. Are any of those braingears sites up and working - half the time they don't (work) or aren't (up). Thanks! They are consistent with a overuse of a cheap carwashes. My owner's manual has a discussion about paint care in it and it shows a picture that looks exactly like the haze and scratches on my car. None of the scratches are through the paint, they are only surface. I was wondering is anyone has had a car wet sanded to fix this problem. =20 =20 I tried waxing this SEVERAL times.
