I would make some snarky remark about being able to fly out, but our grass
strip is too muddy to get the plane onto, much less taking off from, and
it's raining right now ...

Where is The River?

Do you have enough food and water?

I presume you have electricity and telephone.

Will you have time to look for the parts about which I emailed you?

Interesting!
If the tributaries were dammed and canals built; something on the order of the
California water system; it would seem that Great Plains agriculture would
seldom if ever be short of water again.

Re: [MBZ] Skagit River bridge

2013-05-24 Thread RELNGSON
Use google maps to see this bridge accident from earlier today at
 Skagit
River.  The bridge is already gone at google maps.  Interesting...
 mao..

This morning's TV coverage of this event was overrun with all the state and
local politicians rushing to the scene to offer their unqualified opinions.
Smarmy.

All I want to hear is if the steel has been ordered and the cranes are on
the way to clear the debris and build a replacement. As of today, a crowd of
highway department guys in yellow hardhats and vests peering over the edges.
Lots of pickups and clipboards, also.

It's gone on the map, but it's still there on the satellite picture, both
45 degrees and straight down.
