Re: [MBZ] Well, this is REALLY exciting
The girl from Advance Auto just showed up with the part. She said if not for the storm and her GPS misdirecting her she would have been here an hour ago, less than an hour after I ordered the part online. Wow, that is pretty incredible. Free (nearly immediate) delivery, 25% discount... --FT On 5/20/20 12:33 PM, Floyd Thursby wrote: So I get the part from NAPA, headed to the car to put it on, got close and the heavens opened up and were smiting me with massive rain/lightning/tstorms. So I headed home and it was raining really hard, like could barely see, road covered in places with water. Got to the vast estate and was waiting in the car for the rain to let up before running into the house, decided to look at the Advance Auto link while I was sitting there, same part about the same price, 25% discount saves me like $35, they have it in stock at a fairly nearby store so figured I would go there and get it since I'm not going to put it on soon, and take the NAPA part back. But wait, there's more! There's free delivery to the house! So I order it on-line, select deliver to the house, 3min later I get a mail saying it is on it's way. Wow. If the weather was nice I would have had them deliver to my buddy's. I get home and put on the radio, they have a weather guy having a weathergasm, it appears I drove home in a tornado passing by somewhere close, or like right over wherever I was. h. I'm wondering if I should torch this car and bury it deep, then get a root doctor to put a root on the thing, it must be totally possessed. There will probably be rats, incubi, succubi, and other minions of Satan crawling out of it when I go to fix it. The thing might be a mobile Gateway to Hell. --FT On 5/20/20 11:07 AM, Buggered Benzmail wrote: Stopped at the NAPA on the Island to get some brake light bulbs for the 99E320, asked if they had the tensioner, he pulls a Litens off the shelf. Replace the idler anyway while you’re there. You can buy an OEM idler, Litens is the supplier - DO NOT BUY A Febi!!
