[Merkaartor] Merkaartor development

Hi!

I've been using Merkaartor for some time now, and wanted to use the jsom-like 
links from osmose. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any development for 
some time now, and the official site is down. Are there any news? I've found 
some repos on github, really outdated page on launchpad, but nothing new. Is 
the 
upstream dead?

Anyway, since it's working, I've added the feature for myself, you can find my 
forked tree here:

I'd be happy to merge these changes into upstream, if there is any!

Afaik it is. See the discussion[0] from March 2013 where Chris Browet
asked for a new maintainer.


Would be great if someone with the required knowledge could take over as 
maintainer. Merkaartor was/is a really nice editor and has a few nice 
features, I still miss in JOSM.
