As the development of MAC Gimps seems to have come to a halt
I wondered if any of the Unix gurus out there had considered
porting the software to the unix base of the MAC OS X
operating system? Is this a big job, or is it possible to
use one of the existing unix ports to work on the OS?

My apologies for wasting bandwidth.
In fact this is a AMD K6-2 550mhz, so according to benchmark
is running at expected speed of .400. I really should make
sure of my facts before I launch into print.

There does not seem to be anything in the setup which could
be hogging the processor.

I've noticed a reduction in iteration time from 0.237 to 0.223 on
exponent 8143921 using PIII/500, so well done in tweaking speed.
Also no probelms in installation or running so far.
