I have a machine that was close to finishing its first factoring
assigment. It was 94.5% complete on the last (to 65 bits) pass. I
estimate the remainder would take about 3 to 4 hours to complete. I
started up a kids program for my son, he played with it for about 15
minutes and then exited. I was very surprised to note that the factoring
assignment reported as complete with no factors found, and without the
display going past 94.5% (each "tick" was about 0.08%).

I've never noticed a factoring assignment end early without finding a
factor before, but I haven't run very many. I don't know if this is
normal or if the kids program (heavy on animated graphics and sound, like
most kids program) caused a glitch in Prime95. It's an AMD K6-2
processor, and I do note that Prime95 way overestimates the amount of time
it takes to do factoring assignments on it, but I don't think that should
cause this oddity.
