Is this a really old compiler? tr1 has been in gcc for quite a while. In any

That code uses __thread on all systems regardless of whether they support TLS
or not. It should use something like the code in src/glx/glxclient.h perhaps?
OpenBSD currently doesn't have support for TLS and

Yes, I can confirm that the patch fixes the crash on sparc64.
Tested with 10.4.3 so I had to change
fprintf(f, "NOP\n"); -> printf("NOP\n");
to make it build but it otherwise seems fine, thanks.
