Daiane, looks like that only imx_12.10.02 was tested on mx6sololite.
Please use this U-boot versio

Daiane, looks like that only imx_12.10.02 was tested on mx6sololite.
Please use this U-boot version instead.

Both core-image-minimal and fsl-image-test boot fine if I use
u-boot-v2009.08-imx_12.10.02.

The only thing I changed from the original was the #define in
mx6sl_evk.h that specifies the ram amount.
It was set for 512M and the board has 1G.
I also believe the rootfs image was ext2 not ext3

Please try to use the U-Boot from LTIB with the sdcard from Yocto so
we can find out if it is in U-Boot or
I went back to the core-image-minimal and the same issue occurs although
not every time.
It will hang 7 out of 10 attempts.
Mostly here:
EXT3-fs (mmcblk0p2): mounted filesystem with writeback data mode
VFS: Mounted root (ext3 filesystem) on device 179:2.
devtmpfs: mounted
Freeing init memory: 180K
It seems very random where it hangs.
One time it went as far as displaying Yocto on the lcd and a progress bar.
The last time it was six minutes at
mmcblk0: p1 p2
EXT3-fs: barriers not enabled
Here is the boot console info.
U-Boot 2009.08-dirty (Mar 25 2013 - 16:14:18)
CPU: Freescale i.MX6 fami

That allowed the build to complete.
I created the sd card but it seems to hang at different points during
boot.
For example:
Waiting for root device /dev/mmcblk0p2...
mmc1: new high speed SDHC card at address
mmcblk0: mmc1: SU08G 7.40 GiB
My steps is following :
1. enable configure of kconfig in
~/imx6q/rootfs_builder/sources/meta-fsl-arm/recipes-kernel/linux/linux-imx-3.0.35/mx6/defconfig
CONFIG_PROFILING=y
CONFIG_OPROFILE=m
