In hypercard, there is an option to transpose a single sound up and down a
scale such as
play "harpsichord" "c d e f g a b"
is there a similar property in metacard instead of recording different notes
for a single sound?

Well, it just happened last night...Somehow when I open up my stack via the
metacard engine, instead of giving me the full menubar options, I just get
"help" kinda like it when one opens up a stack without the metacard engine.
What did I do?

I'm going to answer my own question. I almost thought I lost the entire
stack!
When I did a group within group, boy , I was losing my menubar, my message
box, and the screen vertical height lost 50 pixels. When I undid the group
in the group, everything went back to normal. Does metacard
seems like an easy thing, but not happening for me
put the files of directory "data" into fld "whatever"
Just want the filenames of all the files in the folder "data" to go inside
field. I get a "missing" error

YOu can't from Metacard, yet as I was told, but you can do this. Use QT
player 4 - professional and go to sound volume and adjust it there. The
volume of your QT movie will be lower now than the rest of your other sound,
Just wondering, seems like there is an easier way to design and change the
icon of the standalone on the PC, but I don't know one. The Mac process is
pretty straight forwarrd. Also, How do I change the icon for the PC side of
the CD ROM itself?

Just when I thought everything was all set and done on the MAC side, the PC
side is giving me a mild migraine. The inks for transparency, blend, etc.
works great on the Mac. How do I replicate it on the PC side. The only
transparency I can make 100% are GIFs. what about fields, bitmaps,
This seem so Simple I don't know what to make of it. I noted in the Demo2.mc
that the file path of graphics objects was just "demo/filename.jpg". How was
this done without having to do "Macintosh HD/Metacard folder/. "
I'm stuck using...
"Macintosh HD/blahblah/blahlbah/blah.jpg"
I designed my stack in 16 bit on my Mac, but when the monitor is at 256
color, the colors are pretty screwed up. I was expecting the colors to be
approximate and or just grainy. I didn't expect to see psychedilic colors
pop up. Any clues?
